Protektit provides a low cost business continuity solution for building web based continuity plans. Through a series of easy to use data input forms, an organization can have a working plan in place in just a few hours. The plan framework delivers four modules that we call the 4R's:
1 Readiness 2 Response 3 Recovery 4 Rehearsal.

Readiness; a set of business continuity related questions that when completed provides a score against a benchmark. The aim of this exercise is to improve resilience. Users can take these assessment as many times as they wish in order to track their readiness status. As the plan is developed readiness is improved. Throughout the assessment a series of help function is available.

Response; make a response plan in three easy steps: 1 Build a team and allocate roles and responsibilities. 2 Choose three assembly points and write these into the plan. Last but not least, formulate a Grab Bag with emergency kit for use upon evacuation/denial of access to your premises.

Recovery; Identify your organizations critical activities and recovery requirements and resources which you will need in order to recover these activities within an agreed recovery deadline. Next you will need to nominate alternative premises should the primary premises be unavailable. Use the checklists to ensure that everything has been covered. Other areas of the plan includes: communications and media holding statement, equipment, stationery, emergency services, staff, customer and supplier contact lists. There's also a built-in email system to ensure stakeholders are updated regularly.

Rehearsal; When the plan is complete use the online rehearsal suite to test your team's roles, responsibilities and overall knowledge of the plan contents. The full rehearsal suite can be taken over a three months period, but is also available at all times to undertake additional exercises.
Additionally, there is a secure online data backup system that is easy to use and cost effective.

Annual membership to the Protektit planning system costs very little and is always available online. Membership also includes quarterly email prompts to remind you to review online plans and make any necessary changes. Data sheets covering a wide range of risk associated subjects is sent to members regularly.
