China and Uzbekistan cooperate to fight terrorism

President Hu Jintao and his Uzbek counterpart pledged on Wednesday to jointly combat terrorism, a major concern for both countries
The security situation in the region is complex, with the three evil forces (terrorism, separatism and extremism) becoming rampant, Hu said as he met Uzbek President Islam Karimov, citing the East Turkistan Islamic Movement (ETIM) as an example.
