Chloride buys Emergency Power Systems

12 November 2009

Chloride, one of Europe's leading suppliers of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and services, has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Emergency Power Systems plc, a national provider of standby power solutions and services

Derek W Plowright, Managing Director of Emergency Power Systems commented "Chloride is a highly respected service provider, and we believe that the acquisition will allow our business to expand further our manufacturing base and enhance our market presentation both domestically and overseas. The team at Emergency Power Systems have welcomed the opportunity to develop a platform for service growth".

Emergency Power Systems will continue to operate as a standalone business, and Derek W Plowright, the former owner, will continue as Managing Director along with the existing management team structure to ensure a seamless transition into the Chloride Group.
