Cisco's Russell Smoak to lead ICASI
The Industry Consortium for Advancement of Security on the Internet (ICASI), the foremost trade association for coordinated response to multi-product, information technology security incidents, today announced that Russell Smoak of Cisco Systems has been named by the group's board of directors as the organisation's new president.
Smoak succeeds Linda Betz, formerly of IBM and now the chief information security officer of Travelers, who served as the group's inaugural president for three-and-a-half years.
IBM has named Alan Mitchell, senior manager, computer security incident response team as Betz's replacement on the ICASI board.
