D-Tec wins fire excellence award
D-Tec, part of AD Group, a leader in CCTV camera-based Video Smoke Detection, has won a prestigious Fire Excellence Award
The awards ceremony was held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole to coincide with the International Firex and Fire & Rescue exhibitions.
The company came out on top in the key Export Innovation category for its successful deployment of VSD, which analyses images to provide an early warning of fire, across a growing number of tunnel projects worldwide. Applications of note undertaken by D-Tec, and its regional partners, highlighted in the award submission, include: the landmark Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, in conjunction with BSS-ME; Italian road tunnels working with Thermostick and VSD commissioned in Sydney Harbour Tunnel by Chubb (Australasia).
