Farmers threaten to cull badgers
05 July 2008
The recent government ban on a cull of badgers, to prevent TB spreading to cattle, has been greeted by veiled threats that farmers will take the law into their own hands
Speaking on BBC's Farming Today, farmers' representatives refused to condemn those who ignored the ban. The implication was that farmers whose livlihood was threatened would be forced to cull bagders, rather than risk TB in their herds.
