Former MI6 chief concerned at increased detention period

Speaking at yesterday evening's Global Security Challenge Conference in London, the former head of MI6, Sir Richard Dearlove, said as a private citizen he was 'concerned' at proposals to increase the UK's detention period for terrorism suspects
Sir Richard went on to say that as a former professional security person he however understood the reasoning. Evidential, as opposed to intelligence investigations, were complex, took time, and their trails often led overseas.
