JTLS presented at ITEC 2010

24 June 2010

ITEC 2010 provided a good opportunity to learn about how the Joint Theater Level Simulation (JTLS) is supporting the USJFCOM and NATO simulating war and peace initiatives at the operational level

The JWFC staff gave a presentation that explained the JTLS vision, program management and the Chairman's training guidance.

JTLS is the world's premier theater level simulation. Its use includes decision analyses, capability demonstrations, contingency/ management plan testing, experimentation, emergency preparedness training, command post exercise support, and coalition training among civil-military agencies. It has been used for analysis of border security, illegal immigration, and human trafficking issues. JTLS users gain insight into the problems and importance of effective information sharing, interoperability, and coordination in response to disasters requiring regional response efforts. The simulation can be connected to most Common Operational Pictures and easily interfaced with many C4ISR systems.

The JTLS software is reconfigurable on-the-fly and is configuration managed by the USJFCOM Joint Warfighting Center. The USJFCOM Program Manager for JTLS is Mr. Don Weter, who may be contacted at donald.weter.CTR@jfcom.mil. It is developed, maintained and distributed by ROLANDS & ASSOCIATES Corporation, Del Rey Oaks (Monterey), California. R&A is the only authorized source for the distribution of JTLS outside the US Government. Information about JTLS and its availability may be obtained at www.ROLANDS.com  or email news.release@JTLS.com
