Jacksons new Linebacker fence has US Department of State certification

13 May 2009

Jacksons new Linebacker K-12 three cable crash fence and gate system has US Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Diplomatic Security certification for Anti-Ram Vehicle Barriers, (The US equivalent of PAS68) and further extends the depth of perimeter security solutions Jacksons are able to offer for higher security applications

Unlike other products currently available, Jacksons Linebacker is designed for easy installation, with cables that do not require tensioning on site which means that posts and the surrounding ground are unstressed and repairs can be affected quickly and efficiently.

The cables are run in single unbroken lengths with clamped cable collars at every post, including intermediate posts – an important feature that effectively contains the loading on impact along the intermediate posts rather than relying on the end posts to cope with the full loading.

The system may be used as a stand-alone barrier or retrofitted to any existing security fence including chain link, ornamental steel, steel mesh, vertical bar etc.
Richard Jackson, CEO of Jacksons Fencing comments: "Our introduction of Linebacker to the UK market provides clients with a choice on the systems available, the technologies employed and their consequential cost.  I believe Linebacker is the only design available today that can combine performance and cost efficiency in equal parts. The Linebacker K-12 Crash Fence for example, is scalable and can meet K-12, K-8 and K-4 ratings for anti-ram vehicle barriers and various penetration ratings.  The introduction of Linebacker further underlines our commitment to delivering integrated perimeter security solutions in higher security applications and follows on from UK Government approval in January of two of our Trident® fencing systems at the highest security ratings."
