Learn Special Branch covert ops

04 March 2008

We've all seen 24 or Spooks on TV, a world usually inaccessible to the general public. Think again! You too can now experience this world first hand by signing up to a Covert Operations course with WFO Training, who promise to give you the experience of a lifetime and teach you real covert operations skills

According to WFO's breathless press release, "you will be dropped into town where your Operational Commander, a former Special Branch Detective and Undercover Surveillance Operative, will give you your instructions. You will carry out a surveillance mission on hostile agents, without being detected, so that the 'threat' can be neutralised. The hostiles are fully kitted up with the latest technology and your Covert Ops Team is itself at risk of being hunted down and neutralised at any moment!"

Andrew Greenslade, Training Manager for WFO came up with the idea for the courses. He is a former Special Branch Detective and Undercover Surveillance Operative with some 23 years active service, and is the Crime Advisor to the Chamber of Commerce Network. So he knows his stuff. Andrew has devised two different courses - one for the general public looking for something thrilling and different, and one for companies and organisations looking for the same level of excitement but also with a more formal team building and training element.

Andrew explains: "For the general public, this is a fantastic way of experiencing the exhilarating world of fantasy, the sort of stuff you have only seen on the telly and have dreamed about before. We keep abreast of all the latest surveillance techniques and technologies and make sure that the experience is as real as possible, without ever putting anyone in any danger.

"For companies and organisations, they can still experience the thrills and spills of Covert Operations, but with a much more formal framework and using the field work as a foundation for team building and personal development exercises. The corporate package is a two day course as opposed to the one day taster experience offered to members of the public."

Security, Police and Government organisations can have an extra module built in to the course which will provide nationally recognised Surveillance Operative Skills Training to a significant level.

Prices start from £95 per head making up a minimum group size of 8.
