Saxony selects Intergraph

02 December 2009

The Saxon State Ministry of the Interior, Germany, has selected Intergraph integrated public safety and security solutions to amplify the Ministry's incident prevention and response efforts

Intergraph's state-of-the-art incident management, reporting and analysis solutions will enable Saxony Police Force's 13 control centers and other government agencies to improve response coordination through increased operational interoperability and information sharing. Intergraph will implement a high-performance Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system and a statewide emergency operations center (EOC) solution with full integration of digital radio communications.

The law enforcement personnel throughout the 18,415-square kilometer German state will leverage real-time actionable information derived from the Intergraph incident management and business intelligence technologies to protect the 4 million residents in Saxony. Intergraph is the world leader in public safety and security incident response management solutions.
Intergraph technologies will enable the personnel of Saxony Police Force to field calls, create and update incidents and manage critical resources from a single interface, significantly improving emergency response times. Through the system's geospatial information system (GIS)-map display and queued incident alarms, the solution can recommend resources based on relevant factors including incident and vehicle location, drive time, unit type and officer skill and availability. Intergraph's Business Intelligence technology is the only public safety solution that will allow Saxony personnel to access real-time operational data created by CAD, records and other databases to gain further insights for investigations and planning, manage performance and generate reports for enhanced decision-making.

In addition, Intergraph will deliver a Web-based EOC module to provide a common operational picture for executing management functions and operational decisions during an emergency. The module will present a single source of information alongside standard dispatch workflows and will allow for alerting, user and rights management, workflow management, event logging, and the ability to visualize and analyze spatial (GIS) data.
