Secure Computing Webwasher wins comparitive review

14 January 2008

Secure Computing Corporation (NASDAQ: SCUR), an enterprise gateway security company, today announced that in an independent test Secure Computing's Webwasher® Anti-Malware engine ranked first place, surpassing all of the leading vendors and scoring higher than 26 other companies as the top product for detecting malware

The research, conducted by independent AV Test Labs mirrored the true magnitude of malware threats and illustrated the varying degrees of effectiveness of anti-malware products in detecting these threats. This is the fourth time this year that Secure Computing's Webwasher has achieved a top position in an AV Test Labs round-up review. Even though threats continue to change and evolve, Secure Computing has been consistent in its unsurpassed protection methods.

"Receiving a top score from AV Test Labs, the most credible security testing lab in the world, validates our pioneering, reputation-based approach," said Ken Rutsky, vice president of Product Marketing, Secure Computing. "It is clear that with over one million threat samples seen in the wild over the last six months, users need to administer the most reliable and effective security solution on the market. Secure Computing's Webwasher has once again out-performed competitive solutions."
