Six years for seismologists

Six Italian seismologists and a former government official have been sentenced to six years in prison for not alerting the public to the deadly 6th April 2009 earthquake in L'Aquila.

The earthquake killed 309 people, injured thousands, and destroyed cities and villages in the affected region.
