UK denies Saudi king's accusations
29 October 2007
UK security sources denied the Saudi Arabian king's accusation that the UK did not act on intelligence it supplied, which might have prevented the 7th July bombs
The accusation came in an interview with BBC reporter, John Simpson, broadcast today.
Whitehall security sources pointed to a previous UK government report and MI5's website which stated: "No prior warning of the attacks was received from any source. The Saudis provided information about possible planning for an attack in the UK which was materially different from the attacks that took place in London on 7 July."
