
University of Hudderfield hosts crime conference
The Applied Criminology Centre at University of Huddersfield will host the 2008 British Society of Criminology Conference – running 8th to 11th July 2008
This is the major forum for criminologists in the United Kingdom and will be the largest conference ever to be held at the University.
The event will be held over four days from the 8th through to the11th July. Around 500 delegates are expected to attend from all over the UK, from the EU, North America and as far away as Australia and New Zealand.
It is expected that over 350 papers will be presented covering all aspects of Criminology from crime prevention, policing and prisons, to surveillance, anti-social behaviour and counter terrorism. There is even a session on crimes against the environment; the new area of 'Green Criminology'.
