Visual Fusion awarded SAFETY Act designation
Visual Fusion, the data visualization software technology underpinning IDV Solutions' Visual Command Center solution for risk awareness and response, has been awarded SAFETY Act designation by U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
It is the first product in its class to receive designation as a 'Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology (QATT).'
The award comes after a rigorous, six-month vetting process by DHS's Science and Technology Directorate, in which Visual Fusion was reviewed by technical and other teams composed of experts in federal, state, and local public safety agencies, national laboratories, and academia to establish "proven effectiveness" that it performs as designed.
In addition, IDV Solutions was required to demonstrate "domain expertise" and favorable customer feedback from United States Government deployments. Visual Fusion is currently deployed in the DHS Virtual City project on the U.S.-Canada border. Visual Fusion is also deployed at the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines, and in agencies such as the Department of Transportation, Department of Justice, and others.
