Whitehall practises Olympics work from home
27 January 2012
During the London Olympics Whitehall civil servants could be ordered to work from home in a bid to prevent London's already over-crowded transport network from grinding to a halt.
From Feb 6 to Feb 9, thousands of civil servants have been told to work from home under 'Operation Stepchange' when Whitehall will check teleconferencing and remote use of IT.
