The International Civil Unmanned Aircraft System Event 2012
The event consist of a seminar and exhibition, and after wards the possibility to network. Location of the event is the High Tech Campus, Eindhoven, Netherlands. The UAS, or Remote Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPA-S), staying in line with ICAO’s terminology, has opened a promising new chapter in the history of aerospace. However, while military exploitation of UAS has grown exponentially in recent years, this trend has so far not yet been followed by the civil sector. Unmanned Aircraft Systems are becoming increasingly important for non-military applications such as aerial photography, GEO-information, agricultural remote sensing and application, pipeline and power line surveillance, fisheries and wildlife monitoring, fire-fighting, weather and climate studies, security, law enforcement, rescue, recovery missions and event broadcasting. However, the absence of a clear EU regulatory framework limits the possibility to fly UAS in non segregated airspace. The main issue is the integration of all UAS as a new airspace user into the future ATM System. For the time being UAS are only partially considered. This Event brings experts, developers, manufacturers, service providers, system integrators and end users together, to create an UAS business ecosystem. The Conference aims to : · Increase awareness about the significant potential of Unmanned Aircraft Systems applications for the benefit of end-users; · Increase awareness about possibilities of new lightweight, light energy, stand-off sensors; · Raise political awareness of the potential and to overcome current obstacles in Europe to the use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems; · Creation of an UAS business ecosystem. The exhibition caters for all platforms and applications, from existing TETRA technologies, to newer providers of LTE, 4G broadband applications and services, smart asset and people management with RFID, and more; maximising mobile functionality for frontline service providers. Blue Light Air Assets: Future Operations
Beyond 2016, military helicopters will no longer play a role in UK search and rescue missions, leaving other public sector organisations, the private sector, or charities to fill the gap. The Department for Transport expects to award a contract for UK-wide procurement of the replacement in early 2013. The RUSI report Blue Light Air Assets: Cost-effective Operations for the Future published in November 2011, explored how helicopters are currently used across the UK emergency services and how their operations, procurement and funding may be harmonised in future. This conference provides an opportunity to discuss these important issues further in an open and interactive forum with key stakeholders from Government, the private sector and the current charity operators.

National Environmental Crime Conference 2012

Defence IT 2012
Defence IT is an interactive event, which uses panels of Ministry of Defence and defence industry leaders to discuss a range of topics, with a core aim: to allow the defence enterprise to make the most effective use of information.
